For our Multicultural Day, FE3 proudly represented Australia, and we embraced the sunshine with an outdoor BBQ to match the laid-back Aussie lifestyle. As part of our preparations, we made great use of the Tesco Fruit and Veg programme, which supported us in providing fresh, healthy ingredients for our activities.
The class worked incredibly hard preparing for the day. Although we couldn’t serve the classic “shrimp on the barbie” (unfortunately no shrimp in sight!), we stayed true to the spirit by making colourful fruit and vegetable skewers. These were a huge hit – tasty, healthy, and perfect for the BBQ setting.
Thanks to Tesco’s programme, we were able to include a wide variety of fresh produce, helping us learn about nutrition while celebrating Australian culture. It was a brilliant example of teamwork, creativity, and healthy living.
Well done, FE3 – you really brought the Aussie vibes! And remember… “There’s a shark in the water!” – just the teacher trying to get a pineapple skewer! 🦈
