Friends of Knockavoe


The Friends of Knockavoe is a registered charity whose objectives are to;

-Develop effective relationships with staff, parents and others associated with the school.

-Engage in activities and provide facilities & equipment which support the school and advance the education of the pupils

The Friends of Knockavoe Committee includes staff, parents and relatives of pupils, and other interested people from the local community.

Current officers on the committee are;

Treasurer- Anita Coulter

Public Relations Officer- Donna Mc Hugh


Friends of Knockavoe have contributed financially to the Rights Respecting Schools events in the past two years.

During the current academic year the Friends of Knockavoe aim to raise vital monies for the school through a range of activities.

2018/2019: "Friends of Knockavoe" have fund raised to provide our pupils with an enormous list of fantastic events, equipment and activities:

  • Educational & Sensory Toys for Class 5
  • Educational, Sensory and Motor Skills Toys for Class 3
  • Equipment to enhance provisions within the Butterfly Room
  • Play Therapy Sessions for the Butterfly Room
  • Sports Coach for senior pupils
  • Whole School Christmas Fun Day (including Santa Grotto, Gifts, Treats, Craft Tables, Inflatable Snow Globe, Bouncy Castle, Rodeo Reindeer, Cookie Decorating, Card Making, Photographer and Santa Insta-gram station)
  • Easter for whole school
  • Summer Scheme Subsidised half of the cost
  • Film Company Production for Class 7
  • Band for Senior Formal
  • ICT Equipment for Class 7
  • Sweet Tables for School Formal
  • Summer End of Year Celebrations (Disco and Treats)
  • Materials for Bright Futures Art Exhibition
  • Camera & Essentials for Glenside Suite
