Today we promote awareness for Trisomy 9 Mosaic. This is an extremely rare chromosome disorder were instead of 2 copies of the 9th chromosome an individual will have 3 copies in some of the cells of the body. This rare disorder holds a special place in our hearts as Daria Gilloway in Year 11/12 lives with this disorder. She is a very special lady and one of only 5 children in Ireland with T9M and one of just over 200 in the world. We celebrate for her and all those across the world on this very important day.
