Whoop Whoop! That's the sound of the police!
29th Jun 2026
Today, we were delighted to welcome Constable Bull from the PSNI to Knockavoe School for a series of informative sessions with our pupils.
Our Primary Department enjoyed learning all about the important role of the police in helping to keep us safe and supporting our local community.
Meanwhile, our Secondary pupils took part in an online safety workshop, exploring how to stay safe while gaming, using social media and communicating online.

One of the most important messages from today's visit was that our actions online have real-life consequences.
Pupils learned that threatening, abusive or harmful messages sent online are not "just a joke" – they can be criminal offences, and the police can take action to protect people who have been made to feel frightened, threatened or upset.

The sessions also gave pupils the opportunity to ask lots of fantastic questions, hear all about the incredible work of the PSNI police dogs, and enjoy a close-up look at a real police vehicle – which proved to be a huge hit!
A huge thank you to Constable Bull for delivering such an informative and engaging visit.
Opportunities like these help our pupils build their understanding of personal safety, responsible digital citizenship and the important role of the police in our communities.
